It has been incredibly difficult to make sense out of the shit storm that happened three days ago, and I feel that the only thing I have left other than visceral reactions is an emotional fatigue. I definitely share whatever frustration and anger that you all feel, and even though it is obvious, it's good to know that I'm not the only one having a hard time accepting this outcome.
I feel fortunate that I'm not grieving alone. If my mother decided not to visit me at this time of the year, God forbid, I might resort to self-destructive escapism. I'm also grateful of my coworkers. Wednesday was unbearable, but we managed to find a few little things to goof about, and they definitely helped, so each one of you deserves my love and gratitude.
Now, while it can be fun to joke about emigration, promote secession, and indulge in nihilism, these things are counter-productive. What we fought for yesterday are not different from what we are going to fight for tomorrow, so please stay here. I love this country, and I need your help saving her.

Trump is the next president, but we have to make sure that the following must end: violence against women, systemic racism, gun violence, terrorism, economic inequality, Wall Street , corporate interests, one-percenters, wealth gap, broken criminal justice system, broken immigration system, poverty, broken campaign finance system, climate change, for-profit schools, expensive prescription drugs, drug and alcohol addiction, trafficking, and modern slavery.
The next four years will be fucking rough. So tonight, grab a drink, smoke weed, have sex, watch movies, join the protest, catch up on politics, or do whatever you need to do to get through this. (Be responsible, remember consent, and don't hurt others.)
But tomorrow, we will continue our fight. Together.
